K2K9 offers Person-Borne Explosive Detection, with the added capability of traditional, static explosive detection, to clients nationwide. We have helped protect hundreds of event experiences for millions of fans, patrons, and employees.
K2K9 operates a TSA-Approved Certified Cargo Screening Facility Canine (CCSF-K9) under the TSA’s Certified Cargo Security Program. Our CCSF-K9 is also Department of Homeland Security (DHS) SAFETY Act Designated.
K2K9’s 125-acre Canine Training Center was custom-built to provide high-quality canine training and handler instruction (explosive, narcotic, multi-purpose canines). K2K9 employs IPWDA certified Master Trainers with extensive real-world experience.
Through our rigorous assessment and selection process, K2K9 procures only the best German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois and Labrador Retrievers. Whether you are looking for a green or a fully trained canine, K2K9 has the right option for you.
At the request of the Department of Homeland Security, K2K9 was integral in the development of Person-Borne technology, working in partnership with Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab and the University of Maryland. K2K9 continues to be an innovative leader in the industry.

K2K9’s Canine Training Center is a 125-acre training facility, purpose-built to support the varying and unique requirements of our clients. K2K9 has the ability to house up to 320 canines at any time, and—with more than 60 on- and off-site training areas—K2K9 provides clients with the necessary space and environments to conduct training.
