Person-Borne Explosive Detection (PBED)
At the request of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), K2K9 helped pioneer Person-Borne Explosive Detection in collaboration with Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab and the University of Maryland.
Our PBED Canine Teams are trained to detect and track explosive or weapon scent trails emitted from a moving person—screening crowds at ingress and egress points to rapidly identify threats before they reach your venue.
Capabilities include:

Entry control point screening
Rapid crowd movement and high-traffic environment adaptability

Explosive Detection Services
Explosive Detection Canines remain the most reliable and effective method of detecting explosives, even as technology evolves.
Each K2K9 canine is trained using live explosives and imprinted on the five families of explosives as well as Homemade Explosives (HMEs) like TATP and HMTD—ensuring real-world reliability under any conditions.

Cargo Screening Solutions
As a TSA-Certified Cargo Screening Facility Canine (CCSF-K9), K2K9 provides reliable and efficient screening for complex cargo configurations under the Certified Cargo Security Program (CCSP-K9).
We offer third-party certified teams trained to detect explosive odor signatures across diverse cargo environments.
