Lanie DeLong, Director of Operations

 Lanie has 17 years of experience in law enforcement and investigations and 21 years of canine handling and training experience. She has been certified in or trained canine and canine teams in Person-Borne Explosive, Traditional Explosive, Narcotic, Firearm, and Bed Bug Detection, as well as Search and Rescue. Prior to becoming K2K9’s Director of Operations, Lanie was an IPWDA-certified Explosive Detection Handler, a Trainer/Instructor and Senior Instructor for K2 Solutions, Inc. Today, she is responsible for the operations of K2K9 and supports our General Manager. Lanie has extensive knowledge in canine training to include patrol, detection (explosive and narcotic), and search and rescue canines. She has handled many canines and instructed many courses from civilians to Law Enforcement to Military personnel.  Lanie leads negotiations, budgeting, and purchasing; enacts efficient workflows to maximize the company’s productivity and performance; develops long-term operational strategies; implements employee policies; oversees daily operations of the company and the work of executives; leads employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication; and evaluates performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.
