Homemade Explosives (HME) Courses

K2K9’s HME courses are built around real-world threats and field-tested tactics.

Participants learn to recognize, imprint, and detect a variety of HME components including TATP, HMTD, and other common compounds used in IEDs and improvised devices.

The K2K9 Canine Training Academy

Located in Jackson Springs, North Carolina, the K2K9 Training Academy (CTA) spans 125 acres with over 60 on- and off-site training environments.

The facility supports every aspect of canine instruction—from controlled classroom settings to full-scale field scenarios.

Veterinary Hospital

K2K9 operates a fully licensed Veterinary Hospital within the training campus—ensuring every canine receives top-tier care.

Our veterinary team performs routine examinations, surgeries, dental cleanings, digital radiographs, and ultrasounds.

K2K9’s Canine Training Academy is a USDA Animal Welfare Act Registered Class R Research Facility, maintaining compliance with all USDA, state, and local licensing requirements.
